Welcome to Rhode Island Firefighters Hockey League web site. The league is comprised of teams representing the major full time union fire department in the State of Rhode Island. Each team is put together with players from their respective fire departments, police departments and local Adult Correctional Officers.

The league was developed several years ago to bring local public safety agencies together to create a stronger brotherhood and good old competition. The range of players varies from former professional hockey players to C level players creating a great mix of talent and sometimes some follies as well.

Hopefully, around May 2009 we will also be hosting the Annual Rhode Island Fire Hockey Tournament which is a charity event which brings in Fire and Police teams from around RI and from around the country. This is a great time and we encouraged you to come and see those games. We will keep you posted as the event comes closer.
